Prior to becoming the East River Bar in early 2004, this venue was originally a paint factory. The industrial setting is still a major part of its ambiance. In the 80s, the East River Bar became an underground biker bar later turned into a Latino speakeasy. Nowadays, new renovations have lead the bar to include a large disco ball with a cowboy themed mirror directly behind the bar.
If the weather permits, the bar's concrete patio becomes a family-friendly joint. BBQ's and summer parties take place very frequently. They have coined the term BYOBBQ (bring your own BBQ)to allow guests to come with food of their choice. There are beers on tap along with a large selection of drinks at the bar.
